Huh … no surprise for me:
Call of Duty: MW2 made it to the top of illegal torrent downloads.
Torrentfreaks charts of top torrent downloads showed 4,1 Million downloads of the PC version and 1 Million downloads of the XBox version.
I guess most downloaders didn’t want to play the crippled Multiplayer part anyhows and just downloaded it to play the SP part.
It is not confirmed by EA or DICE, but GameStop announced the start of the PC-Beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at January, 28th 2010. It is expected to end on February, 25th.

The first hotfix for the latest patch v1.05. Two problems occured in the bonus campaign:
* one of the endings did not work properly
* problem with entering vehicles
So get ready to download another 65 MB to get this fixed.
Oh … and this is just a fix for 1.05, so you will need the full patch first, before you can fix it 😛

Patch v1.05 for this sequel contains various bug fixes, gameplay tweaks and performance improvements. It also includes a free bonus campaign (Eagle Wing), a free bonus helicopter addon (AH-64D), as well as a new Warfare multiplayer mode (When Diplomacy Fails), including 3-sides and support for diplomacy between factions.

The latest software of Teamspeak is out now: TeamSpeak3 Open Beta started.
The versions are named beta2 and the offer 3D sound support and better chat functionalities.

Right in time before holidays Codemasters released a second DLC for Operation Flashpoint 2: Overwatch (for XBox360 – others have to wait)
After the latest Patch (1.0.174) for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was published over Steam (and XBox Live + PSN), PC players are now facing new problems.
During patch install or when they want to join a hosted match for a multiplayer game, they receive following message:
“patch_mp.ff is different from the Server”
The console players have no problems, but PC players do!
