S.T.A.L.K.E.R. dead?

Bad news for the STALKER series fans. It is not verified, but there are a lot of rumors than lead to the conclusion, that the development studio GSC Game World (and with them S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) will be dead.
Sad news in my eyes. I liked the game. But when you follow the latest posts of @gscstalker (The Official Twitter account of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise by GSC Game World) at Twitter, you will not be too optimistic about the future of STALKER.
